Talia’s explorations in porcelain and stoneware are created to encourage wonder, contemplation and meaningful connection between object and person. Pensive and often tactile, the objects playfully inquire our place in the natural world and reflect on the temporal and cyclical nature of being.
Talia studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design and is currently living and working in Toronto, Ontario.
CAPACITY 2018: HIATUS CHRONOS
Chronos explores the concept of a hiatus as a crucial break or pause in time; a point of transition from routine tendencies towards a shift and recharge.
Ceramic wares are used to contemplate the importance of allotting a portion of time to disconnect and recharge. An exploration of ritual and reunion, the objects aim to build a re-connection between people and time.
